So for the second time in 2 weeks a 50 seater RJ has done a high speed aboart at CRW. That is an airport that has limited room for error if you get short on runway and long on speed. They have an EMAS system which is the only reason we are not hearing about the PSA CRJ that went over a cliff and burst into flames a few weeks ago.
Well, this week a Freedom ERJ did a high speed aboart and came to a stop 400 short of the end (PSA stopped 100 short of the cliff side in EMAS). There was substatial damage to the airplane in the aboart though. The link has a photo.
