Being a bit of a weather geek, I have watched in amazement how this storm has affected some places and not touched others. People in northern Queens/The Bx have barely seen any snow at all, while the people in southern Queens, Brooklyn and SI have seen several inches. In White Plains, we had nothing.. in fact they amended the forecast and removed snow completely. By contrast, the people in the Baltimore/Washington area are getting buried by record snow... 21 Inches reported at Baltimore so far and still coming down.

Here are some METARs from Washington to White Plains.

Hate to tell you this, I visited my mother in the Bronx and nothing on the ground... incredible.

Only a few flurries this afternoon on Eastern Long Island (North Shore).

Same in Syosset - just a little bit of something that couldn't even be called flurries in the air around Noon-ish, otherwise nothing. Not that I'm complaining, mind you...

This morningit snowed like crazy in Long Beach. When I woke up at like 8 there was half an inch on the ground. About an inch by the time I was catching the 1028 out of Long Beach to Penn and when I came up on 34th and 7th at Penn nothing. Just brutally cold. There is still a bit of snow on the ground here in LB but not quite half and inch.

Just a powdering here under the 22R landing path in Levittown. At JFK i'm saying maby an inch. Mostly a slushy snow/salt/deiceing fluid mix on the ground.
