Lufthansa Set to Take Delivery of First A380 in May 2010

The aircraft, D-AIMA (a registration previously worn by an A330-200), is currently fully painted at XFW. The first commercial flights will be crew familiarization runs between FRA, MUC, and HAM and the first international flight will operate betwen FRA and JNB in June to take the national soccer team to the South African world cup. Lufthansa has previously stated that JFK would be first commercial international route to be operated by the A380, so keep an eye on this thread for an official date announcement.
