In this video I know about 80%+ of the people pictured and there are guest appearnces by two members of our site here in the video. LGA777 is figured prominently outside the flight deck window up to his old tricks (taking pictures) at one point. :borat:

Well WB. Good to see they are still flying. 704. Thats an old A320 right there. N700US being the first A320 they got and the start of the downhill for US.

Ah right 700 was a 319. Still 1st airbus they bought. And still started the downhill slpoe for them.

I am not sure how the Airbus started their downhill slope. It saved them if anything. USAir/USAirways had one of the wildest fleet combo's with so many type overlaps and type ratings it wasnt funny. DC-9's, F-100's and 737-200's and MD-80's with the 737-300/400 series, than once Trump got absorbed the 727 type was in fleet. It was a mish mosh mess. The Airbus fleet was ment to standardize USAirways. Had 9/11 not happened the only Boeing likely still in the fleet would have been the 757. Otherwise the dream of Mr. Wolfe was to make USAirways an all Airbus fleet. My biggest gripe was the story behind the purchase. Boeing snubbed US essentially unless they would accept rediculous agreements for the order and Airbus pretty much dropped their drawers for the deal to happen. At the same time, US would not be around right now if it were not for Airbus and the repeated finance given to US.

They were scrapping the Metro Jets a long time ago. Its not my fault they held so many types. If i was them though I would have gotten 737's instead of airbus. Much better ac through and through. When they started getting airbus 319's and 320's they started cutting pay to employees benefits gone and alot of cutbacks. Thats why I say it was the start of US going downhill.

They did that out of financial necesity of mismanagement of other leaders prior. Boeing would have killed USAir/USAirways because of the prices and payment arrangements they wanted from US to start replacing the fleet. Trust me, I am a former USAirways guy. I know my companies history. Espesially considering my office was shared with the PI/US Human Encylopedia  :borat:  8)
