British Airways flight 300 from London to Bahrain using G-BOAA took off at 11:40am and landed in Bahrain at 3:00pm.
Air France flight 025 from Paris to Rio de Janeiro using F-BVFA. The flight took off at 11:40am and landed in Rio at 7:00pm, with a technical stop in Dakar.
In a move to inaugurate the era of commercial supersonic travel both flights lifted off simultaneously, nearly to the second.
