On last evenings' CBS News with Katy Couric, they had a segment on a guy who regularly visits old airline graveyards and rummages for parts. He actually built an entire 747 cockpit in his garage. He has been obsessed with the PanAm 747 he flew on when he was a little guy. I didn't get his name but I believe he lives in California. I read about a guy in England who built a full-size Concorde in his backyard but that was made of wood and was fake. This 747-lover uses only real parts that he can salvage.

It is an obsession with this guy to build a 747. Obsessions are more common than we think. I read about a guy who flies all over the world to attend opening day ceremonies for Apple Stores. He has attended everyone. There's even a guy who has every Disney character tattooed on himself. Crazy?
