Ok I have been on this site for a pretty good amount of time and have noticed that the time is never right on a consistent basis. I mean for years I just tried to figure when it was wrong or what have you but why does this happen? I have my preference set to EST. Why does this happen? It's showing the time as 3:48pm when it's 4:48pm.

Do you have the button for "Summer Time/DST is in effect:" (right below the Time Zone) selected as "Yes"?

Yet, even your post Moose is showing 6:05pm....when it's right now 5:22pm...and I see mine shows 6:22. Ugh....ah...and it's now fixed.

It's a time warp.

Standard EST is GMT-5. However, during DST, we are now -4. Your own Board Preferences allows you to turn DST on or off. If it's off, you're getting the wrong time.

Nick, a check of your own settings indicates the you do not have DST on. Change this an let me know if you still have the wrong time.

Working now but why the choice? Every time zone except Mountain in this country uses DST no?

But this is a world-wide site, Nick, not everyone uses DST. BTW, they do use DST in the Mountain time zone - Arizona and Hawaii are the only 2 states that do not observe DST. Much of Europe observes DST, but with different start and end dates than the US.

I think Arizona does not use it all, and we also have many international friends as well.

EDIT: I replied before I read Moose's post. Sorry Moose!
