NYCA is not going to have a table this year unfortunately.

We are currently rebuilding the online store, but you can still buy shirts here: http://nycaviation.com/onlinestore

Hi all. Just out of curiosity does anybody know if it will be bigger than the one they have in the LaGuardia Courtyard every November or is it roughly the same number of vendors ? Also is it possible to get there by public transportation or do you absolutely need a car ?

If my car weren't already full, I'd offer a ride. I don't know much about public transportation around there.

There's a local bus from Newark downtown or Port Authority to the airport and IKEA. You can go to the airport and get the shuttle bus to the Holiday Inn.

Also If you coming from NY, there are a few ways to get there. 1: NJ Transit from NY Penn to EWR then take the airtran 1 stop to P4 I believe and you can get the Hotel Shuttle bus, 2: PATH train to NJ Penn Station, you can also pick up the NJ Transit train to EWR, 1 stop, or to save money, you can go downstairs and take the NJ Transit 62 bus to EWR, which the fare is $1.35.

It was a great time at the event. I came away with an ATA DC-10 and 707 Air Force One models, as well as some nice decks of cards that I didn't previously have.

Glad I got to see a bunch of you.

I bought a vintage LOT ticketdesk flag and a pack of Piedmont napkins, both of which now live on my bar. W00t.

Sadly, I couldn't draw myself to pull the trigger on the few models that interested me, they were either too small (I prefer larger ones, [that's what she said]) or too expensive. The prettiest was an American Airlines "Flagship Freedom" 757 (the one with the yellow ribbon on the tail). I guess it was 1:400 scale. Couldn't convince myself to pay over $50 for a model, however.

Matt is early in his model-buying career. Once he starts to buy a few more..it will all be downhill.

That AA 757 he's referring to is REALLY nice-looking. Wow.
