JFK Sunday July 5th outing?

Anyone up for an outing at JFK on Sunday during the holiday weekend? Forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and winds from the WNW making Firestone/the Mounds the ideal place to be.

I'd love to. I am in town for business (I am originally from FRA / EDDF) and was thinking to going to the broad channel island (although I am still struggeling to find some transportation from Hamilton / Howard beach. I was thinking of Sunday morning. Would appreciate if someone would join me.

Unfortunately my plans were ruined as there was a soccer tournament on the field next to the Mounds. The area was fenced off with white banners making the entrance onto the Mounds not possible. :cry: I think the tournament only lasts for this weekend. Oh well, I'll try next time.

Ive been through that same situation last year when I was with Stuart and Kenny. We spotted at the mounds and was said something about leaving the area because of the tournament, but we hang over there still and that was the day the tower had us going all over different areas becuase of the runway changes which we blew the A380 that day.

That sucked. They were smoking something they didn't want us to see.
