G-VHOT recently went into the hangars at Filton to receive a special 25th Anniversary livery. The aircraft is scheduled to operate on VS1/2 on June 22nd with celebrations onboard to commemorate the first flight. I would not be surprised if this aircraft comes out of the hangar with a retro scheme.

The other day when I was taxiing at Heathrow I spotted G-VFAB sporting a new 25th Anniversary bubble sticker on her nose.

EDIT: There is still a possibility that G-VHOT is in a special livery but this appears to be G-VHOT arriving in Heathrow today:

Could be G-VWOW though.

So the new scheme is operating flight 1 on the 22nd?

It would appear that way, Bill. G-VHOT was originally reported to be receiving an anniversary livery in Filton but it looks like the 747-400 above is indeed G-VHOT without a special scheme. Unless the aircraft received some sort of decal today or last night then I would count on G-VHOT or possibly G-VFAB with her new decal.

The flight will arrive at 15:35 on the 22nd.

Either way I'll be ready, unless the rain has something to say about that of course

So it was only the decal applied to the left side only. They attempted to give them a water salute but the wind foiled that. Richard Branson was onboard and he deplaned out the back with the rest of the crew. I snapped a few shots but the quality through the glass windows was pretty bad so I won't bother posting them. But they are on my flickr if you wanna see.
