Do all the JetBlue ships have nicknames? Coming from Cali back in March it was "The Blue Kid In Town" and I have noticed a few others.

Gordon - do you know the N-Number of that jet? Hard to make out in that shot (looks like N778JB, maybe?) and none of the news sources that reported the story include the registration, or provide a close up of it.

Very interesting - I photographed 779 at JFK in April, and she was named "Blue Ribbon". She's their newest A320, received back in March, from what I could tell.

Not sure if they still do it.. but when i worked there.. they would ask the employees to name the plane and if your name got chosen you were able to go to pick up the plane

I love the new scheme! I hope they do that with one of the NY's baseball teams.

Delta sponsors the Yankees and Mets, so if anyone might do that it's them, but it doesn't seem likely. They've done decals for the Mets' David Wright (http://nycaviation.com/newspage/2006/10/02/delta-dedicates-aircraft-to-mets-david-wright/) and Red Sox David Ortiz.

Anybody know if JetBlue is using this airplane for the Real Salt Lake team charter? Or just a marketing thing they are doing?
