June 17th will be the 80th anniversery of passenger service, The airline was found back in 1924 as Huff Dusters but passnger service didnt began until June 17th 1929 as Delta Air Service.

They were indeed..founded as a Crop Dusting Company...I did a case study on them in class this past semester...and by the way they're people on a.net talking some weird crap about DL. :lol: talking like...Delta's "stepchild"-ComAir..Delta had 4 marriages..children"..."prositute"- US Airways..abortions like Delta cargo,shuttle,song,etc.

Happy Birthday to them! and they do sell 1-3 posters of their 80th Birthday on deltashop.com..which i do intend on buying in the near future.

Congratulations for Delta turning 80.

We're looking forward to the first crossing of the Pacific for Delta with the Los Angeles-Sydney route starting on 1st July. This will increase the carriers on the route from two to four over less than 8 months. This has also brought prices down from roughly USD $1700 return down to USD $500. It's expected that prices could drop to anywhere near USD $180 one way. That's a bargain for the 15 hour flight.
