Wish I were there. When I lived in Miami I would go to as many as I could. I think I saw 3 night launches. It is far beyond anything I could describe. A shuttle launch is the fastest & greatest airshow on the planet.

From Hollywood (Ft Lauderdale) we could see the plume - a perfectly clear day to see it!

JUst watching what I taped on the DVR today from CNN and they had a split screen because of a news conference by SecDef Gates then just went to that after the shuttle launched!!

Astronauts have discovered a bunch of dents on the thermal tiles, likely caused by fuel tank debris. :?

Weather is giving the shuttle a "No Go" for landing at Kennedy Space Center Friday.

I always watch Nasa Select & I just wish they would show more pictures from the cockpit. Although looked like they may've been having trouble today.
