Wow,

Looks like he possibly had a-couple burst of fumes of fuel, just enough to make a safe landing, glad there both OK.

I think I read it's a SkyRanger homebuilt.

Yes, it was a homebuilt SkyRanger. They were heading to Sun 'n Fun in Lakeland, FL on Sunday morning:

Interesting while viewing the video and then later reading the above article I began to wonder if this was a staged stunt. Then I read the comments on the article and someone was thinking the same thing. Very convienent to have TWO cameras rolling by a professional
videographer with a website.
Just the cynic in me wondering.

Just the cynic in me wondering.
i think it was funny how after landing they rolled to a stop in a gas station. will that homebuilt run on 87-octane mo-gas? anyway, staged or not that why we pilots exist, to get the thing on the ground when stuff goes wrong. i'll keep my judgement of good-pilot/ bad-pilot until i watch 'em auto-rotate down to the ground.
