mario, i hate to do this to you buddy. the reg is an airbus delivery registration, just look at the different a/c serial numbers in that search you linked. the a/c in question is a new-built frame.

Not even listed on Airfleets yet. Best I can tell that c/n 3856 is within about 20 of the most recent builds. Brand spanking new.

yes, a temporary one for flight testing purposes. until that's completed and the a/c is certified it can't be registered by the owner. when the final airworthiness documents are signed then the owner can finally process his own registration paperwork and get thier numbers/ letters painted on the side. in most cases you'll see the temporary reg applied on a sticker which is covering the pending registration underneath, already painted in place.
