I rarely see LGA depart from Rwy 22 but they were yesterday afternoon. I figured that Rwy 13/31 must have been closed. All operations were from Rwy 22. Does anybody know the reason that Rwy 13/31 was closed? I went-out to see the new Mets Stadium and saw aircraft gaining altitude over my head. They were about 2000' and climbing. Sadly, Shea Stadium is completely gone.

It's the start of spring construction season...discussed here:

Same thing this weekend at LGA. It appears that Rwy 22/4 was closed most of Sat. March 21 while Rwy 31 was active. Today, Rwy 31/13 seems to be closed while Rwy 22/4 is active. Rwy 22 is being used for arrivals and departures as well.

Speedbird, all of this gets covered in the Spotting Planning and Review forum. Threads already exist.

Yes, it was covered but the author was unsure that the closures would be every weekend. I am confirming that these closures are still in effect. This would help spotters know where they should stand to see aircraft. Evidentally, my efforts are not appreciated.

He started a new thread for this weekend, if you checked.

I wasn't yelling or complaining, but I'm just saying that your efforts are redundant, and so we don't have mutliple threads in mutliple forums on the same topic.

Your attitude, on the other hand, is what's not appreciated.
