Like many lucky folks on this site I have had the pleasure of spotting at SXM. And even though I had 4 days their (2005) I only saw a twin otter depart 27. I have seen many cool and amazing shots and videos from the island paradise, but I have NEVER seen anything like this amazing 744 departure off 27. Turn up the speakers, enjoy, and don't forget to duck, this one really rocks !

Holy crap that AWESOME!!! Think I have a new addition to my list of "Must Take Trips". I've seen photos for a long time, but that sells me. Gotta go spot and relax at that beach! :borat:

Here's a view I found from the cockpit of a 747 coming in at SXM. Equally as freaking cool...

So how many miles in trail do they bring all thise birds in to SXM? Looks like it takes a while to turn around get off the runway there.

Someone should have thrown some lemons into the #1 for all those Beer drinkers at the bar. Some may rather the slice in the beer, I would rather have the full effect of the Jet-A with my lemon! I bet that would have been possible on that takeoff!

Sadly, the awesome original video appears to have been removed from Youtube. While the below one from 1997 is much, much tamer and less spectacular, I think it will still bring a smile to some of you, it did for me.
