Just overheard AWI4042 inbound to LGA with an indication of a RH main gear will not extend. after a short convo with mx and dispatch , they decide to land at LGA due to fuel now down to less than 3000lbs fuel.

as of now (0724am) they have decided to do a low pass down runway 31 for a look. Thy have asked to land on 4

Good decision to divert to JFK.... Larger field, longer runways, and a no bodies of water at the departure ends of the runways. Probably more mx options there too for the carrier.

now diverting to JFK per SFO ARINC conversation..
hey, is it possible to get the tapes from that conversation? it sucks that we don't have access to ARINC at work. IMO it wasn't a great decision to go to JFK with the plane. they have no station staff, no managers, no mx.... everything is at my terminal at LGA. the only thing about JFK is the longer runway. i'm glad it ended ok, but this is now the third landing gear incident at AWI...

i'll be at work starting at 1400 today, i'll try to find out more.
