Janet (E G & G in LAS) appears to be starting to replace their aging 737-200's with -600's, this one came from China.

Are these the only 736s based in the Continental US?

The only other people that I know in the North American Continent with -600's are Westjet from Canada - I think Janet are the first US carrier with -600's.

Alaska also operates them, but not in the 48 states.

Sorry Phil but AS does not have -600's and the only aircraft they have had that operated only in Alaska where the the 737-200's that did actually serve SEA on a limited basis.

I believe Mark is correct.

To me, the 732 just symbolizes the quick shuttle. It's a shame to see these planes go, mainly because i never captured one myself.
But, when they do start to decommission them, is it possible one might end up on display or in an aviation museum?

Most 732s are already gone around here, and I doubt you'd find much in terms of display.

Right on, Alaska never operated the 737-600.

Alaska operated the 737-200 combi for a while, flying them to the remote airports in Alaska.

Thanks for the posting! Very happy to see EG&G have replaced the 737-200 with the 737NG, they have been talking about it for years, we trained EG&G on the 737-200 for several years......

There are a couple of 736s that are used by the Navy to train crews for, I believe, the E-6 TACAMO platform (and presumably eventually for the P-8 Poseidon, too). One of them was on display at the Oceana show in 2007, 743NV (which was ex-Lauda). They're based out of Tinker?

Aloha is still flying the 737-200, the cargo division is still operational....
