On the news last night, they showed the candidates for President arriving for the debate at Hofstra. The airport they showed didn't look like JFK. Was it Farmingdale or some different one? Are the runways at Republic able to accomodate those heavy jets? I think they can.

Obama went into LGA. Not sure about McCain. Neither of their planes are heavy jets. McCain uses a 737 and Obama uses a 757.

McCain was dropped off at Newark on Tuesday, then his jet was shuttled to FRG...photos here:
