JetBlue was about 95 % ready for Oct 1st operating date but for those of you that were at our opening a couple of days ago, none of the food vendors or retail stores were ready to open . By pushing the date back a couple of weeks gives them the oportunity to make themselves fully operational and ready for the public. Our last arrival @ T6 will be Oct 21 and our first departure will be about 5;30 AM on the 22nd.

Wasn't it reported B6 will still use T6 until the remote gates are taken down and installed on the new T5? T5 doesn't have the gate space for all of B6s ops as it stands right now, or does it?

Currently at T6 we have only 20 gates to use. Some of those are exclusive 190 gates and some are 320 gates. When we open T5 we will open with 18 gates that will accept both of our A/C and we are planning to utilize our hardstands @ PZ if need be for the extra gate space. With the reduced flights it should really not be an issue till we get to the busy holiday season when we again increase our daily flights. The plan is have the trailer park demolished and everything fully operational in about 4 months.
