Mets closer Billy Wagner needs Tommy John surgery which could keep him out of service until the 2010 season.

Ouch. He's not the best, but he's the best we got.

I'm a Mets fan and I must say this is great news. When will people realize Wagner is just another incarnation of Benitez? They need a solid closer and not someone who wants to blow the ball by you, sacrificing control, and giving up the game every other outing. Now, maybe Omar will do the right thing and get a quality. They'd be so much better off if they could solidify their pen.

You make some good points there Kenny. The bullpen needs to step it up in order to sercure wins. I wonder who will be the closer for next year.
