Hey All--
Just checked the employee site, and I know we don't have to many SWA flyers here, but thought I'd spread the news.
For those who have booked through swavacations, will understand you are not allowed to check in online to get the coveted A boarding pass because you are flying on paper tickets. This was done to make sure the ticket agent could collect the tickets and verify they were purchased.
NOW....They have changed it so you are allowed to check in online to hold a place in line and get the A Number in line, this is assuming you check in at the 24 hr mark. However this will NOT get you a boarding pass. So you are still required to check in at the ticket counter so they can verify your paper tickets, but can do so now with ease that your place in line is held, and once you check in, the agent will then print out your boarding pass with the number you checked in online previously.
This was effective as of August 8th, 2008.
Not a huge deal, but one less pain in the ass to deal with for the Customers when flying on paper tickets.
