View Full Version : How depressing is this right now?

It has been a few weeks since I started to consciously drive better.

It's just killing me. It is JUST SO HARD to try and keep my RPMs below 1500, driving in automatic mode, getting 28 city and 37 highway.

Long gone are the days I'd turn the corner and floor it, hittin 70 in 3rd gear (though I still hit it if the read is clear and I'm feeling great, as I love to accelerate.)

I pudge along in the right lane, a hurried granny riding up my bumper then going around me.

My haiku:

Accelerate fly
gone forever those days now
Accelerate slow

How I miss driving. :(

Eh it doesn't bother me driving slower at all. You get use to it and I now laugh at the fools who speed pass me...all it gets you is a faster trip to the pump.

I drive cautiously and conservatively for gas. However, I do gun the engine a bit here and there to scare people.

Thats so true. I constantly notice the people who are speeding get stuck at the same light as me :)

Ive been going UNDER the speed limit for the past few weeks, and driving as little as I can. So far, I've been getting 34 miles per gallon in a Camry! How crazy is that, 34 mpg in the city!

At least it's paying off. 34MPG City is amazing.
