Continental is the next one to park planes and lay off....the industry is in a spiral I think..a downward spiral...

The 737-300's and some 500's were announced a while ago to be retired starting this fall as they are receiving 33 737NG's this year and 24 next year.

what about the winglets on the 300 and 500s that Continental has? thats like throwing away money. They have started to recieve winglets about a year ago and I hate to see them go..

Wonder if NW will park some of its DC-9 soon. I suppose the DC-9 is more thirsty than the 737-300.

Well right now there are quite NWA DC-9s parked right now... I believe there are 80 or more in use now..
