Air Midwest to cease service (http://www.kansas.com/business/updates/story/403569.html)

Wichita-based Air Midwest said today that it will begin to cease operations later this month.
The wholly owned subsidiary of Phoenix-based Mesa Air Group said high fuel prices, low demand and "a difficult operating environment" has led to the action.
The airline, which operates 20 Beech 1900D turboprop airliners, will stagger its closing starting May 23, when it will shutter its East Coast operations.
It will close its West Coast operations on May 31 and Midwest operations on June 30.
Mesa's CEO announced this in January, but this is apparently the first solid news of it actually happening.
