Sorry everyone, as of yesterday that was suppossed to do the dca shuttle route, but it won't be back today. Ryan was going to try and get some shots of the patch job on the body , maybe next time . :(

Yesterday Ryan said the bullet hole plane was going to be at LGA today, but it turns out it's not.

They switched the routings this morning. It was supposed to come in from DCA in the A.M. and than run BOS back and fourth all day. When it got to DCA from PHL though they swapped the routeings and it did a pair of shuttle turns here and is now headded to JAX.

Ok I get that..but is this special somehow? I am not understanding something? Ryan can take a picture of anyone of US's planes that have a patch on them and it will look the same. Again really not understanding why this is special???

I don't understand. This plane was shot at? How about a background story....I think most people reading this are confused.

765 Joe made a mistake.

Go easy on Joe, I am not sure if he has been officially diagnosed by a physician but as his co-worker and friend I am 100 pct convinced he is dyslexic !

Sorry Joe, but the general public had the right to know !

Cheers

So the bullet actually caused external damage that required a patch? I didn't know that.

It was either on Airliners.net or Jetphotos.net or somewhere I kind of dont remember where, I saw picture of the hole that was through the cockpit to the left of the captains panel.. I got the news about it on the day that it happened.. Very lucky to say that the plane did not get more damaged than the small hole...

Like what? A bullet will not cause explosive decompression...

No, but if it hit a critical piece of equipment, or say, one of the pilots, that would have been a bad thing.

Good point, I didn't think of it from that angle.
