The Department of Transportation has granted four airlines rights to fly between the US and Bogota, Colombia.

Delta will serve Bogota from JFK and may begin service immediately. JetBlue can begin flights from Orlando and Spirit from Fort Lauderdale on April 1. Continental has permission to begin flights from Houston on October 1.

American Airlines lost the right to continue their Miami-Bogota service.

US Airways applied to serve Bogota from Charlotte, but was denied.
