Arriving at work today at LGA was surprised to see an ATA 738 parked at 5 Towers and it departed just as I got to the Tower. I later remembered seeing that Senator Clinton was campaigning this morning in the city so I realized it was operating "Hill Force One" as she has dubbed her campaign plane. I later checked flightaware to see where it/she was going and found for those who might be interested the routings for the last month or so, see below.

I thought ive seen that ATA738 at HPN parked on the Landmark Ramp... A plane that size sticks out pretty good up there amung the Cirrus's, RJ's, and B717's

I'm sure it's been at HPN - Bill and Hillary live near there, in Chappaqua.

I have enjoyed watching the routings of this aircraft the last few days and have been surprised at how many segments where unusually short, as in 10-15 mins of air time. For example today the 738 flew it's first leg from PVD to BOS Logan, 9 mins air time !

Check the history for more.

I was at Providence on Sunday to see which aircraft it was, since I need 3 ATA piggies for the fleet. It was N308TZ. I'll post the picture I have of the aircraft later!

I've been at AVP for Air Force One, Air Force Two, Bill and Hillary, a C-37A, and I never had a problem with them. They're usually really nice guys.

On a separate note, Hillary disappointed me today by postponing her visit. I heard she's now planning on Saturday or Sunday.

I've actually been down in Mountaintop since Wednesday afternoon. It sounds more like people jumped the gun in assuming they were making a campaign stop here on Thursday, and I haven't seen any confirmation of a weekend visit yet. Unfortunately, I'm heading home Saturday and won't get to see them in any case.

On a related note - saw a clip on the news tonight with McCain getting off the Simpsons JetBlue jet.

For those who did not know, both of the Democratic candidates charted ATA 738's, here is similarly numbered Barrack Obama's charters.

My favorite is the 5 min flight from ORD to MDW on Feb 17,

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/AMT6 ... /KORD/KMDW (http://flightaware.com/live/flight/AMT6102/history/20080217/2304Z/KORD/KMDW)

Perhaps the canidate deplaned at ORD and was picked up at MDW, that's the only way I see that leg making sense ?

I would imagine after the convention and the winner is chosen there might be a special livery aicraft flying around, perhaps for Sen McCain as well !

Cheers

Gotham, thanks for the clip, never seen that one before and never realized what a dick he could be after being put on the spot by a reporter.

Not to turn this into a Dem vs Rep debate nor a Boeing vs Airbus debut but even though the USAF just went Airbus for their Tanker deal and even though many US carriers have large Airbus fleets with my employer (US) having one of the largest but with so many McCain supporters being conservitive, traditional, and old school Americans, I have to wonder if maybe he should not be showing up at airports all over this country with his conservitive supporters greeting him at their airport as he arrives in a French made Airbus while his two democratic apponents do the same in a Seattle made Boeing. After all it is the most patrioctic office in the country he is running for.

Not ment to piss anyone off, I respect the many different views on this board just my two cents.

Especially now that he's being attacked over his role in the tanker deal. Despite my dislike for McCain, and even if he had ulterior motives, at the end of the day it was proven in court that the deal he disrupted was rotten, and two people went to jail including Boeing's CFO, for chrissakes.

Thanks Moose!

Here are some quick edits. I wished they turned out better, but the clouds made it difficult to get a good picture.

Hillary will be back on Saturday and Sunday with Bill, and Obama and McCain are also expected over the weekend. The rumor is that they will all be in the St. Patrick's Day Parade. I'll definately be at the airport to get some more shots of the Hillary 738, the Obama 738, and McCain's JetBlue.

I got the Obama plane today. It is tail number N319TZ - one number off from Hillary.

I was very disappointed. He seemed very unfriendly and rude. I wanted him to sign my book, but he just looked at me and drove away.

On a lighter note, Bill Clinton is going to be here on Wednesday. It will be interesting to see if he has his own campaign plane.

> I also met Hillary for the second time, and I got another autograph!<

A co-worker of mine was up in Scranton (Pa.) over the weekend for Sats St. Pattys
Parade and Hillary was there (her father was from Scranton and is buried there). She
stood very close to Hillary and said she was very nice and personable. I also met a
guy last week who had worked for the Clintons years ago and said the same thing about
her.

Both Hillary and Obama began flying North American 75s a couple weeks ago.

You may recall someone else who used a North American 75 for his campaign...

Ended up in NE PA Saturday evening, and I took a run up to AVP this afternoon to try to catch my Senator. Got to the airport less than 10 minutes before her motorcade showed up. Here's a quick & dirty edit of some of my shots.
