The DOT has published a report on luggage handling complaints in 2007.

The 5 worst:
5. Mesa
4. Skywest
3. Atlantic Southeast
2. Comair
1. American Eagle

Too many people, not enough baggage space on those birds.

US came in at 8th worst. :)

Hawaiian was the best, Aloha 2nd best, followed by AirTran, Northwest and JetBlue.

Mesa and ASA do not shock me and Skywest/United ops. team would not suprise me as well.
