Greetings,
I went to Nassau, Bahamas (MYNN) again to try to get a shot of the Cubana YAK-42 that flies to Nassau usually every Friday. You might recall I flew down there in early November to get a shot of it then, Unfortunately Hurricane Noel beat my arrival date into Nassau and Cubana had brought the leased Venesolana 737-200 in for 3-4 weeks on Fridays. My second attempt was met with about 90 percent success. This will be a new type for me. This is one amazing aircraft and I feel extremely fortunate to have a chance to see one with my own eyes.
I was hoping for the full Cubana colors but I got the white one with the Cubana titles. I can't complain because Cubana along with full and partial colored Yaks they have an all white one with no markings. They are replacing the Yaks with newer ones however they are not painting them back up fully as they are to be removed from the CUB fleet soon.
Along with the YAK I also finally got a shot of the Air Canada's "Symphony of Voices" special red/white A320..This has been only "do want" list for at least 7 years.
My Equipment for this flight and route:
Freedom Air E145
KMCO-MYNN
MYNN-KMCO
Again thanks to Stephen Aranha for assisting me with getting the YAK and his info on shooting MYNN.
The last 2 shots are of my MCO-MYNN arrival into Nassau.

Thanks Matt,
I have a billion of those Beech18s... The YAK42 was holding short for 15 mins waiting that aircraft to land.

Yes for the most part its too bad a blasted cloud stalled right between the sun and the YAK when it landed! What a disappointment. Right after the YAK flew by then Broken clouds disipated.

Excellent catch, Senga.

Looks like that one Delta Connection guy didn't want to be photographed.

Hey Senga,

Great stuff! I think your trip paid off :)
I missed hat Air Canada A320 special cs in YVR on Saturday :( This is second time that it got away.

Rafal

PS - Your Honeywell bird at PHX has that thing attached to it :)

Thanks Rafal,
Yes the trip really paid off. I am glad I didn't give up after the first attempt. I had missed that Special Air Canada probably about 10 times. It taxied past me when I was inside the terminal at MCO once. Talk about frustrating.
Yea I want that Honeywell B720 so badly. Might consider a trip over there still.

All good stuff Senga. The Yak is a mean looking plane on the ground.

I never did get that Air Canada yet either.

Thanks Tom,
It looks pretty impressive when it is landing as well from distance you see nothing but a big black wing.

Nice shots Senga. Whats with that Sandals/Beachs jet. An exec jet or for the high rollers?

Great shots as always Senga.

Shame the Yak doesn't have a better scheme!

I love the new Beaches c/s..much better than the scheme on the Westwind.

Mario, I think it's an Exec Jet for Butch Stewart the owner of Sandals/Beaches

Thank Art, Mario, Mark,

Mariom
I dont know much about the Sandals CRJ other thank that shuttles people back and fourth from FL mainly. It was pretty colorful :)

Mark,
I do wish CUB would have brought in a YAK with the full tail painted. At least it wasn't to totally white one they have. But at this point I am glad to get a YAK period. To make things even scarier the YAK didn't come back in last Friday! They brought in the IL-62 and it came in at or before sun set! I would have been SCRWED if I flew to MYNN last Friday.
