I was on the way home walking this afternoon, and as I walked passed out every-now-and-then edition of our Town News, a front-page headline caught my eye.

"I needed a place to stay because my apartment's being fumigated," said the Queens resident. "I'm in New York City, so no one has any extra space ... and the hotels I knew of were booked or charging hundreds of dollars a night. My apartment in real life is like 80-percent Ikea [products] anyway, so it just made sense."

So he shot off an e-mail to Ikea executives in Pennsylvania, the U.S. base for the Swedish retailer.
Oddly enough, it made sense to Ikea, too.

His webpage for his 'adventure' is at http://www.marklivesinikea.com

The Paramus Ikea is right near me, about 1.75 miles from my home, and I've been there a couple times. When I watched the videos, I knew exactly where he was located inside the store.

When that Ikea was being built, they said it was 33,800 square meters, or about 363,820.172 square feet, and may be the world's 4th largest Ikea. Even if it isn't, it is BIG.

I think a lot of people dream of one day trying to live in a furniture store. If it's an Ikea, it's even better.

I'm still trying to fathom what it would be like to do something like that, and here it is, a guy who did it, and right at a store I've visited.

EDIT: He is a comedian, so naturally, some, if not most of his videos are quite funny. "A reminder: the toilets in the showrooms aren't real." :borat:
