The final Song-painted aircraft is now in Victorville, CA receiving her new dress. I, for one, am glad the remnants of Song have "faded" (pun intended) into Delta's history. Still, here's a few to remember:

N67171, the first ever Song aircraft, seen here on April 10, 2003:[airlinerstp://www.airliners.net/open.file/0338641/L/[/airlinersThe first ever Song flight, DL 2450, JFK-PBI:[airlinerstp://www.airliners.net/open.file/0340596/L/[/airliners:032e3][airlinerstp://www.airliners.net/open.file/0341405/L/[/airlinersA NYCAviation.com original, Brian Futterman's shot of N6705Y operating the final revenue flight for Song on April 30, 2006, DL 1990, JFK-TPA:[airlinerstp://www.airliners.net/open.file/1042700/L/[/airlinersAnd last, but not least, N610DL departing LAX on October 8, 2005 (shot taken by Eric Dunetz):[airlinerstp://www.airliners.net/open.file/0945303/L/[/airlinersCheers, and happy new year!

Nice photographic review!

No matter what I thought of an airline, It's always sad to see a scheme go away. It's another part of history we'll never get to see. However, that is a lot of what drives my photography....documenting it all. I'm glad we had Song so well covered.

If I may self-plug, my favorite Song photo of mine:

Here is my contribution:
[airlinerstp://www.airliners.net/open.file/1246525/L/[/airliners had the pleasure of flying aboard a Song 757 over the summer from JFK to ATL and enjoyed the flight a lot.

I'll miss seeing the green around JFK.

Here is my self plug, my 3 favorite Song shots, all from the winter of 2004 at LGA, a fairly large Song station at the time.

I was never a huge fan of the scheme other than the fact that it was way different. and ditto with the look of the interior. But on the positive side, I had 4 really great flights on Song, really enjoyed the whole atmosphere onboard, the cool recorded safety demo, the entertaining IFE, the tasty and creative BOB and cool cocktails, even if every time the FA did not know how to make them. So even though a lot of what Song did is now on many DL aircraft I will miss them and I am glad I got to experience their service.

Cheers

Its sad to see the Song colors are gone. I always liked the scheme when the 757s flew over my house.

GOOD RIDDANCE!!!! J/K You realize we'll be talking about Song a year from now saying "you remember Song?" LOL It was an idea built on good intentions but never really did what it was set out to do. Funny how UAL still has TED around.

That's why you shoot all these, even if you don't process them right away. Who knows when some of these will go away?
