Not really smoke, actually steam. Taken 10/13/07 @ the Ashokan Reservoir outside Kingston, NY, outside air temperature at the time, 36 degrees.

I have a friend who lives right by the Ashokan Reservoir and I have never seen it look so beautiful!

that's actually a really good idea! save it for the kids... then once they complete it let them know you're the one who took the pic.

Yes, southern part of the Catskills, exit 19 off the Thruway.
