saw that posted on a.net a while back. it does look nice, but i noticed that most new airports still don't have the amenaties i would like to see put in place. for example, after a long flight and especially an overnight one the first thing i want to do is take a shower. i don't want to stand in line for a rental car even until i'm comfortable again. when i was in the military we'd be able to land at certain bases and grab a quick rinse which was especially useful during weekend-long training deployments in the AZ and CA deserts. i do know most FBOs have restrooms that contain a shower meant for the crews to use while they await thier pax.

the large gate spaces do look comfortable for use, i wonder though how they'd fare for cross-utalization between different size airplanes. say one carrier operates CRJ700s, A320s and B744s. if you keep thier gates close together then you can make the transfers easier for pax as well as employees. if the gates are set up from the beginning to be able to accept more than just one size of a/c its makes that even easier.

on a side note, did anyone notice that that deelopment company is also working on the Virgin Spaceport in NM and is the same one that built the Chek Lap Kok airport in Hong Kong?

It's interesting that you mention a shower, because the first time I was at Tokyo's Narita Int'l Airport [RJAA], one of the first things I noticed were the showers.
