Why does every NW I see say "Northwest/KLM?" I understand NW is owned by an investment group of which KLM (now Air France-KLM) is a member. Still, the signs look silly in my opinion. The "super alliance" they attempted to build is long dead and while they have a strong codeshare agreement, it still seems that they should drop the /KLM. Any thoughts?

Well the only reason the Northwest/KLM strong alliance was broken was really Air France...

But I understand your point, they really should drop the grouping.

In that event Delta should probably do the same with Alitalia/Air France and Korean. It was pretty funny in SRQ when people would ask us where the gate for Alitalia flight **** to Rome was.

Hiss,

NWA handles all of KLM's USA bookings
They did cost/revenue sharing
They shared services at their hubs including baggage and check in
They were the first major international airline alliance

It was more than just a codeshare...
