I haven't been down this way in ages (not since November 2001). With nothing much to do on Saturday, and an itch to go shooting, I headed down.
You really can do everything in NYC!

St. Paul's Chapel, down the street from Trinity Church. St. Paul's was across the street from the WTC, yet miraculously, escaped damage on 9/11. In the weeks following the attacks, the Chapel served as a respite and refuge for the rescue workers at the site.

The original altar from the Chapel. It is displayed with many of the mementos left by the family and friends of those lost on 9/11.

Seeing all the displays at St. Paul's brought back many memories from that awful day. It's difficult to see it and not be moved.
