MOSCOW, May 22 (RIA Novosti) - A Boeing 737 passenger plane made a safe emergency landing at an airport in western Siberia after experiencing engine failure, a spokesman for Russia's emergencies ministry said Tuesday.
"The aircraft with 29 passengers and eight crew was on a flight from St. Petersburg to Novy Urengoi," Viktor Beltsov said. "The left engine failed during the flight, but the pilots managed to land the aircraft at 7.15 Moscow time (3.15 GMT)."
No injuries have been reported and the incident is under investigation, the official said
