Just been wondering.

I once saw, back in 2002, an all white USAF 757 stop into FRG. I was at Borders preparing for my boards when I saw it tazzing over by he now Shelt AIr.

By the time I got home and back, it was gone.

The regi was 25001. Seems there are no pics of it on Anet or jetphotos.

Is it a Ghost?!

Maybe its like those unmarked 707s James Baker (Was it him?) and company flew to Iran to get the Iran Contra business started.

From http://home.att.net/~jbaugher/2002.html (a great source for USAF tail numbers)

02-5001 Boeing C-32B - Another mysterious Boeing 757 apparently operated by US State Department Foreign Emergency Support Team - serial is 'guessed' from tail number 25001. Is apparently c/n 25494 which would make it ex N987AN.

N987AN is an ex-Avianca bird. There is a photo on myaviation.net - http://www.myaviation.net/search/photo_ ... d=00769349 (http://www.myaviation.net/search/photo_search.php?id=00769349) but it's a little confusing. The caption says the photo is from 1994, while the tail number decodes to a 2002 series, but the plot thickens. http://scramble.nl/milbase.htm (my other favorite military reg site) notes 02-5001 as now registered as 99-6143. The above web site lists this for 99-6143:

99-6143 Boeing C-32B - Another mysterious Boeing 757 apparently operated by US State Dept Foreign Emergency Support Team - serial is 'guessed' from tail number 96143. To add to the confusion, it has been supposed that this aircraft MAY be 25001 repainted

So yes, Mario, it may be a ghost 8)

There are also four C-32Bs (used civil 757-200ERs), operated by the US Foreign Emergency Support Team in a white livery with small USAF markings. Their numbers are 98-6006, 99-6143, 00-9001 and 02-5001. They are apparently operated by the 486 th flight test wing on behalf of other US agencies, maybe including the CIA.

The best knowledge to date (supposedly confirmed by someone with access to Boeing's fleet data) is that c/n 25494 wears 09001 [00-9001]. I've seen it as such at IAD on 12Sep06, without the U.S. Air Force titles and roundel. The only clue to its identity was the standard 12x18" American flag next to the registration.

The other one is c/n 25493 as 24452 [02-4452]. As far as anyone knows, there are only two of the all-white USAF 757s.

Is it a Ghost?!
You're going to wish it were when the Men in Black get to your house and erase your memories of that day. :shock:

A Ha!!!

So wait, you mean to suggest that Mario amy have seen a plane that Steve, Tom and Senga may not yet have seen? Now that IS rare! ;)

02-5001 That's her. She seems elusive. Of course, it was back in 2002, I didnt have a dslr back then, only my ....wow maybe I had 5 mp digi back then? I dont even recall. I can say though it arrived, and departed FRG in under 2 hours. And I could see an office, almost looking like a boardroom, on the aircraft. She was parked by the fence at FRG, the same place Canyon BLue parked when she got hte Hofstra players.

Very cool.

Sit under the approach at McGuire for a couple of days and you'll see them, as that's where they are based!

An all white 757 went into McGuire around 10am this morning. Not sure which one, I was about 1 mile from home at the time :-(

Interesting! Does anyone know what plane Pelosi uses? Is it an all-white 757 or one painted like Air Force 2?

I think she flies in a Gulfstream or Citation or something. Not an Air Force jet, from what I understand.

I thought she demanded a 752 and got it?

I use an ADS-B receiver to keep track of aircraft flying over South Florida. My log for Jan 19th shows the following:
========================================
02-5001 Boeing B757-23A -------- AE0433 United State us 20/01/2011 01:45 101.54km - 39.85km
AE0433 -------- 02-5001 B752 20/01/2011 01:45:18 101.54km - 38.97km
AE0433 -------- 02-5001 B752 9875 1500 20/01/2011 01:45:18
-=============================================
Due to receiver confoguration times are GMT and distance is kilometers.
I find it very interesting that this aircraft has a mode S transponder transmitting its position at all times. My guess is there was not much secrecy around this flight.
I have not looked at the logs in more detail but it seems that it was landing at either KFLL or KMIA which are about the same distance from my receiving location. I can also guess that it was coming from over the Atlantic, otherwise I would have detected it sooner than when it was 100 km away
Interesting bird...looking at my log files I also see that an E-6B is a frequent visitor to my area also transmitting its position via ADS-B Mode S and using the callsign GOTOFMS. if anyone is interested in ADS-B extract showing interesting aircraft over the area, let me know.

commercial as well... witnessed her arriving from PIT once, before she was fired.
