I went on my first BBJ flight & like any other aviation geek, I sat in the jumpseat for all legs of the trip, instead of sitting in the cabin, here are some photos of the interior

What is the tail on that bird?

I was allowed to share the photos, as long as I did not release the tail number.

Well in that event a great looking plane but I echo Brian's request for the jumpseat pictures. The 727 is the "father" of my aviation passion and susequent career.

I have a related question.

DO smaller corporate jets, such as Lear Jets, CItations Gulfstreams, etc, do they have jumpseats as well?

Just was wondering.

Yes Mario, some corporate jets DO have a jumpseat, although its not the most comfortable in the world.

As lijk604 pointed out, some bizjets do have a jumpseat (usually the larger models such as Gulfstreams, Challengers, various Citation Xs), but many do not.

anything smaller than an Gulfstream or Global Express will not be worth spending more than 10 minutes in. i have yet to see one on a Challenger.

I sat in a T7 FA jumpseat for a few minutes when we had some extremely severe turbulence and I could not get back to my seat. Are jumpseats in the cockpit more uncomfortable than those because they are in a lesser amount of space?

Lears do not haven a jump seat. You nearly need to be a midget to flt them or at least the 20/30 series.

Then I should be fine in the Lear ;)

Maybe you should be a president. Your more qualified than our current one.

I know I'm not a moderator, but lets keep politics in the off topic section please.

I sat in the jumpseat of a G-IV last year and was actually surprised at how comfortable it was. To be honest though, I was so enthralled with the view on final into LAS that I could have sat on a fiery chair of spikes and not noticed.
