I was looking on flightaware for LGA arrivals and this struck me..

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/AAL3 ... /KORD/KEWR (http://flightaware.com/live/flight/AAL368/history/20070416/0025Z/KORD/KEWR)

Why the stop in Newark?

Weather most likely... Very, very poor on the East Coast...

most likely it's a fuel stop. look at the radar image:
http://map7.flightaware.com/flight_track_map.rvt?ident=AAL368;airports=KORD+KE WR;key=9159c40c9cbe1521aa94738815b1da162a909ae1;ke ytime=1176699370;height=340;width=400;departuretim e=1176683100;arrivaltime=1176693060

notice they were holding for a while. because of that they could have tapped into thier fuel so they they wouldn't be able to continue to LGA legally. then again, could have been that all the pax wanted off ASAP, was kinda bumpy today...

They were on the ground for two hours. and then left. Then the plane mysteriously got to San Jose Intl. I thought that planes never really did semi long-haul non-rev flights.
