NEW YORK (AP) A man breached security at John F. Kennedy International Airport on Thursday, forcing parts of two terminals to be evacuated, authorities said.

The man, who had not been found by Thursday evening, circumvented security at Terminal 3 at about 4:15 p.m., the Transportation Security Administration said in an announcement.

When TSA workers were unable to immediately locate the man, they called on officials with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which runs the airport, to help evacuate the secure parts of Terminals 2 and 3.

Authorities were not sure if the man was still in the airport.

All passengers went through security a second time before normal operations resumed, Port Authority spokesman Alan Hicks said. More than a dozen flights were delayed, some for hours, he said.
