Hi All,

I thought I'd kick off a Christmas/New Year thread.
I'd like to wish you all the best from one side of the globe to the other.

Sure is. Not a terribly hot one, but summer nevertheless.
I think it gets hotter when the Grand Slam is on (i.e. Australian Open).
Tennis means heat....

Mike, do my eyes deceive me or does Santa have a bunch of hoes coming out from under his coat?

That would be the "modern" Santa!

Merry Christmas to all! or Happy Chanukah! depending which way you go.

Personally I still prefer Festivus!

Had a good Christmas. Spent it out the back of my place (well technically it's Sam Chui's place - but while I pay rent...).

Strange that it's summer, yet we received snow falls in the south of the state on Christmas day.

Snowing in December? I thought it only possible in Tasmania (which can get snow all year round).

Although I am behind the camera... not in any shots :(

Bizzare!

Just spoke with a spotter mate from the UK, who's currently in Melbourne (watching England be thrashed by Australia in the cricket).

I said my Christmas Day was beautiful. A nice 25C with sun and prawns. Typical nice summer day for Christmas.

Down south (where of course it is summer as well), he said that temperatures had dipped below zero, and they received knee high snow. That's like San Francisco getting snow in June.
