L'Avion, a new French business airline, is going to launch flights on December 27th from Paris Orly Airport (ORY) to Newark. The airline is going to use Boeing 757-200 aircraft equipped with winglets. L'avion, French for airplane, is a cool name in my opinion and the logo design is also looking nice. The airline will operate on the same principles as MaxJet or EOS.

Here is some more info en anglais, unfortunately the website is still being prepared:

I wish they could fly to JFK; always something different.

This is apparently the company originally called Elysair...And it looks like Silverjet is taking bookings starting in the last week of January for LTN to EWR....This space is getting crowded!

I like the livery, it's definitely not Eurowhite, that's for sure.

I wonder how Air France feels about this. Continental's probably not that afraid because it has a loyal EWR crowd, but AF doesn't seem to be that popular at EWR and has been almost continuously downgrading its metal.

That was one of the first words I ever learned, I swear.

L'avion.

I can't wait to see it this summer at EWR. Gonna see if I can catch a flight on them.

Pretty nice livery! Now that'll officially make 'Silverjet' the ugly duckling of the high-end transatlantic airlines :-)

I hadn't heard about this one.. I hope it becomes reality, cool name.!
