President Bush signed legislation Friday to repeal the Wright amendment, ending the bitter North Texas war over flight restrictions at Dallas Love Field.
Now that the Wright amendment repeal legislation has become law, through-ticketing from Love Field can be implemented immediately," Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas, said in a statement. "It has been a long process, but North Texas consumers will benefit from more competition and significantly reduced airfares."
