Instead of the MD-11 this year it looks like the Thai Government is coming in an A340-600. She should arrive at SWF by 8:46 PM, hopefully she'll be out tommorow as well.

I'm pretty sure this is the first visit of an A340-600 to SWF! I'll hopefully be there with my camrea ready.

I'll use this thread to let you guys know what else is coming in, it would be great to have a little meet up at SWF.

I will be in contact with my friend at SWF to find out more.

This one also came into JFK. I assume dropping off the VIP there, and then parking at SWF.

Unfortunatley I won't be able to meet with my contact at SWF tommorow as security is very tight and he doesn't work tommorow.

I'll still go out though and try and get some shots.

that has to be the most awesome fbo to work at during the summer season up there judging by the amount of diversions and vip traffic they get

Great shots, always wonder about what's inside though, I guess some are just airliners from the national airline of whatever government but some are truly VIP interior, like I am guessing the Bahraini 744 would have. I heard from someone who used to work for another Gulf region royal flight operator that their 747 had an onboard majilis (traditional Arabic sitting room where people eat, talk etc) and some sort of prayer area that automatically adjusted to face Mecca (many airlines from Muslim countries display a self-adjusting arrow pointing which way while in flight, but in this case the floor or sitting area apparently adjusted somehow).

Anyway, UN GA is making a mess on the streets of midtown Manhattan, alot of frozen zones and motorcades. Love the planes but wish they took the subway when they got here!

Thai might be taking off early as there seems to be a coup in the works back home while their Prime Minister is here in NYC.

Dude,

arent you from Poughkeepsie? Whats with the Spain flag?

I was actually born in Brooklyn (adopted, birth father was from Chile and birth mother from Hawaii/Philippines) and then I moved to Nyack, New York and then to Poughkeepsie but I moved to Spain for a year (2004-2005) and feel a special cultural connection to the place, that's why I chose to have the spanish flag over the american.

Incidently my mothers trying to get Spanish citizen ship for me because she's terribly concerned about a draft, my grandfather was from Spain.

Sorry guys, don't have a clue of the reg of the Westwind.

SengaB
2006-09-20, 09:50 PM
The Reg is HR-RHO. Its a Honduras Government Aircraft.
I saw it yesterday at SWF along side the TU-154 as well. It flew back into JFK today using the registration.

Correction the West wind should be HR-PHO not RHO.......I pressed the wrong key :)
sorry about that.
