Airline to Expand Markets and Charter Operations with Delivery of New Aircraft

DULLES, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 9, 2006--MAXjet Airways, the industry's first low-fare, all-business-class transatlantic airline, has reached an agreement in principle for two more aircraft to be delivered in early 2007, expanding the airline's fleet to five 767s. In addition, the Company is having ongoing negotiations for additional aircraft to be brought into the operations in 2007. With loads on the increase and MAXjet owning the majority share of transatlantic traffic between the U.S. and London Stansted Airport., the airline continues its focus on expansion, both in frequency and new routes, to satisfy the growing demand.

The success of MAXjet's all-business-class service continues to grow as the Company experienced load factors of more than 70 percent in both June and July on its route between New York and London Stansted. On its Washington to London base route just launched April 3, MAXjet reported a 60 percent average July load factor.

As well as the scheduled routes, MAXjet's luxury charter operations continue to grow with the acquisition of its third aircraft, which is expected to enter service in September. This aircraft will focus on the growing charter business as well as being used as support on the New York and Washington scheduled routes. The airline's luxury charter business, which has experienced significant growth, transports groups to various destinations throughout Europe, the Caribbean and the U.S. Recent charters include Stockholm to Las Vegas, and England to Washington D.C. and Los Angeles. The Company has a strong customer base that includes corporations, government entities and professional sports teams.

"The two new aircraft will be used to open new scheduled service markets and increase our charter operations," said MAXjet CEO Gary Rogliano. "For new scheduled service markets, we are seriously looking at Boston and Las Vegas to London, as well as exploring several other major U.S. destinations such as Los Angeles and San Francisco."

Further, MAXjet is the only airline to design an extensive dedicated connectivity section on its Web site specifically for its customers, without regard to a specific airline. Customers can now build the most convenient schedule for themselves, based on MAXjet's own departure and arrival times. MAXjet's newly revamped Web site provides step-by-step instructions to create connections to hundreds of destinations across North America and Europe. For details, go to http://www.maxjet.com and link to "Connecting On MAXjet."

"In designing these connection opportunities, MAXjet continues its commitment to its customers by providing affordable business-class travel to more destinations between Europe and the U.S.," said Rogliano.

MAXjet operates a schedule of five weekly departures from Washington Dulles to London Stansted, with roundtrip fares starting from $1750(a). MAXjet also provides a daily (except Saturdays) service from New York's JFK Airport with roundtrip fares starting at just $1500(a).

For additional information about MAXjet including its routes, fares and flight schedules, or to book travel, visit the MAXjet Web site at http://www.maxjet.com or call the airline's toll-free number in the U.S. at 1-888-I-FLY-MAX (435-9629) or in the U.K. at 0800-023-4300.

(a) Fares displayed are roundtrip and include all taxes and fees. Seats are limited and certain flights may be sold out due to demand. Tickets are non-transferable but are refundable for $300 and may be reissued for a $100 change fee plus any applicable difference in fare, provided that the change is made prior to the departure date. Schedules are subject to change without notice.

About MAXjet Airways

Washington/Dulles-based MAXjet is a low-fare all-business-class transatlantic airline dedicated to bringing greater value to the intercontinental market by connecting key business cities with a high-quality, low-fare business-class product. MAXjet operates Boeing 767s configured with just 102 deep-reclining spacious seats with 60-inch pitch. The airline offers low fares, even for last-minute passengers. Service includes business class leather seats and the traditional amenities of the largest carriers, such as pre-departure beverages, multi-course meals, a Chef's Pantry, premium liquor, boutique wines, travel amenities, duty free and much more.

In February 2006, MAXjet launched its customer appreciation program called MAXflier, a simple customer-friendly loyalty scheme for MAXjet customers who choose to fly regularly with the airline. Customers who have 'banked' enough currency will be able to obtain a free flight. There are no blackout dates, no Saturday night stay requirement or any other limitations often attached to other reward travel. Further details can be obtained at http://www.maxjet.com.

Are these "charters" run on MXJ metal? Is this what the second plane does on days that the IAD flight doesn't operate?
