If you like old old stuff, your gonna love this.

They will have a B-17 that will be doing joy rides, for a fee.

I'll be there, just because its close.

Pistons in the sky ain't my cup-o-tea.

I'm going to try to get out there one or both of the days; hopefully, I'll have myself moved into a new place enough that I can spare both days to get out!

Considering EAA's Aluminum Overcast is coming to Farmingdale from the 18th-20th it's probably the one.

Here a just a few shots from today. The light was pretty bad all day, but I got a couple of the B-17 and the gang.

Love the B&W image, Melanie, really gives a nice feel to the B-17.

Not a bad day, yes, the light was lousy, yes, there weren't too many aircraft on display, but a day out at the airport, hanging with the NYCA folks is never a bad way to spend a nice Saturday.

Front end of the NASA T-38. It took me a minute to figure out why it looked funny - there's no big pitot boom on the nose! I haven't see that before, I don't know when or why they changed this one.
Also, it was an "interesting" conversation with the little CAP kid who was telling people it was an F-5, because that's what somebody told him. Finally I said "I used to fly these, I know what it is, and it's NOT an F-5!"

Moose. You are dead. Those are some of the most UNflattering photos that have ever been taken of me.

...on the internet.

I would have loved to have flown the Yankee C-47 out there this weekend, but work got in the way and I was flying a DOD charter out west, great shots of the B-17, did the Gooney Bird fly at all this weekend or was she just static display?

Mel, take the Business jets out of the background on the b/w shot and no one would know that that shot was taken in 2006 not 1944

I said the same exact thing to her. The brown she added really made the photo give off an older feel.

But I'm biased, I guessed.

Haha....that's so funny. Phil did say the exact same thing about making it look older in photoshop....and I told him it would be a hell of a clone job to get rid of the biz jets.

if you do it don't forget the pick-up and vor also.... pull out the biz jets and put in a few more B-17's or some P-51's.. that would be a good Photoshop job...
