Drove by EWR today around 1330 and 1500 on a honey-do mission with my wife and the awesome AN-225 was easily visible from I-95, parked SW corner of the airport just east of the Fedex ramp. From my distant view looks like the AirTrain might pass pretty close to it, no idea when it is leaving. At the north end of the field the wingletted Burgundy and white private 757 which seems to be a EWR regular was also visible.

Cheers

Hi Ron.

I took a leisurely drive by EWR as well this afternoon. Myria looked to be almost over to the UPS ramp, (well, from the outside looking in anyway...)..not sure the AirTrain would work though...

I wish they'd build the second one...

Yeah, the burgundy 757 too... Did you see the MD-87 - at least I think that's what it was.. had the crest over the tail like the 717.... Reg was VP-somethimg..? Anyway, something exotic. That shot could be had for the determined..

A very big thanks for the heads-up - I randomly clicked on the site as I was packing up to head out the door from DC to New Jersey, and look what was there. The monorail passed somewhat near; not at a photographable pose (lots of de-icing trucks and such parked near it), but close enough to get the majesty of the 6 engines and the giant, drooping wings. The 757 was 770BB, which is an EWR regular; and the MD-87 was VP-CNI, which departed Saturday night for Berlin/Tegel.

I was out of town.
This would have been my 4 or 5th time seeing it?
:)
