US Airways plans to add flights from Baltimore to New York City late this summer.
The Tempe, Ariz.-based airline said Monday it will add 106 flights by September 6 to popular business and leisure destinations. It plans to include four daily flights between Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport and New York's LaGuardia Airport.
New flights to Baltimore will leave LaGuardia at 1:25 p.m. and 6 p.m. Departures from Baltimore will leave at 3:20 p.m. and 8:10 p.m. The additional flights exclude Saturday service.
US Airways (NYSE: LLC - News) hosts 35 daily departures to six destinations from BWI. The airline makes up a small portion of fast-growing BWI's market share. Dominant discount provider Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV - News) accounts for half of the Linthicum airport's business.
Last September US Airways Inc. merged with America West Airlines, making it the fifth-largest domestic
